The Capital Area Medical Society Alliance, organized in 1940, is comprised of physician spouses and is affiliated with the Capital Area Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Alliance and American Medical Association Alliance.  The objectives of the Alliance are:

• Through its members to extend the aims of the medical profession to all organizations which look to the advancement of health and education;
• To fulfill such functions as may be needed at local, district and state medical meetings;
• To do such work as may be approved from time to time by the Capital Area Medical Society; and
• To promote acquaintanceships among physicians’ families in order that fellowship may increase and at all times to stimulate a feeling of location cooperation.
